Sachin is the founder of Namaste Cooking, a grass roots, community based company set out to educate and inspire people on the Indian healing arts Working as an Ayurvedic Chef & Teacher in the healing Arts of Ayurveda & the Vedic Arts, he was trained at the JSS Ayurvedic Hospital & College where he obtained a clinical certification in Ayurveda, located in Mysore, India. He also studied Ashtanga yoga in Mysore, India. Trained in Kerala, India at the Kalari Ashram, his experience & dharma training goes not only into Ayurvedic nutrition but into the healing treatments of Marma & Panchakarama. Prior to his Ayurvedic teaching he was a Fine Arts Chef in Montreal Quebec, teaching English to french speaking elementary students.
He is teaching, empowering, & inspiring peoples of all diversities on cooking Ayurvedic food for ones lifestyle & yoga practice. Sachin is an outdoors man spending his summers in the mountains. A community advocate for preserving ancient indigenous cultures symbols through public demonstrations & talks. He enjoys Yoga & dancing. Passions of his include Cooking & furniture design, he holds a degree in Indian temple architecture, Vaastu.
From creating a mouth-watering banquet, a menu from scratch, to delivering workshops that were not only insightful – but engaging, declaring Sachin Sudra as an artist in a league of his own is an understatement. Sachin was an integral component to heightening the experience of the event we curated, which left our clients and myself thoroughly impressed.

Sachin was a true professional from developing activities, menu creation and execution to event participation.
We worked with Sachin on three main areas :
- Foraging session; Sachin lead an interactive tour, guiding us through local land pointing out any viable plants and herbs that could be used in cooking and explaining their benefits and uses.
- Bitter creation; Sachin carried out an in-depth presentation of all foraged ingredients before he worked with our guests to create homemade cocktail bitters.
- Catering; Sachin created a custom menu including delicious vegetarian and vegan options using primarily local or organic ingredients. He was open to themed dishes and followed the brief while enhancing certain aspects to make it an even better experience. The food, presentation and table décor was certainly a highlight of the trip.
It would be with great pleasure to work with Sachin and Mark again – true professionals who go above and beyond the call of duty.
